2.1. ANTI-CHEAT
No additional anti-cheat is required for official matches.
2.2. MATCH PROCEDURE
Round: Multiple Rounds per Game
Game: Series of Rounds Offence to Defense, Best of Objective, Escort etc.
Match: Best of 3, 5,7 to determine match
2.2.1. Series Lengths
Matches are played as a best of 3 regular season, best of 5 in playoffs, and best of 7 in finals.
Please load only one map at a time with 5 minutes in between for coaching, and or break.
2.2.2. Game Lobby
The team with the most wins will create the lobby, the team with the lowest win count will determine which team starts as red/blue in the first game. The match settings to be used are the most recent competitive rules preset with the following settings adjusted:
- Killcams: No
- Swap Teams After Match: No
- Pause Game on Player Disconnect: Yes
In the event that an incorrect ruleset is loaded on the server, the match should be stopped and reset. Previously played maps with incorrect format will not count towards the series.
2.2.3. Map Veto
The team with the lowest win count will have the ability to decide which team will act as Team 1 and which will act as Team 2. The map pool is listed in rule 2.2.4.
2.2.3.1. Best of Three
In a Best of Three, teams will take turns banning maps until there are three maps remaining, starting with Team 1. From the remaining three maps, Team 1 will choose the first map, Team 2 will choose the second, and the remaining map will be the third map.
2.2.3.2. Best of Five
In a Best of Five, teams will take turns banning maps until there are five maps remaining, starting with Team 1. From the remaining five maps, Team 1 will choose the first map, Team 2 will choose the second, Team 1 will choose the third map, Team 2 will choose the fourth map, and the remaining map will be the fifth map.

2.2.3.3. Best of Seven
In a Best of Seven, teams will take turns banning maps until there are seven maps remaining, starting with Team 1. From the remaining seven maps, Team 1 will choose the first map, Team 2 will choose the second, Team 1 will choose the third map, Team 2 will choose the fourth map, Team 1 will choose the fifth map, Team 2 will choose the sixth map, and the remaining map will be the seventh map.
2.2.3.4. Ways of Map banning
Teams will use the agreed upon Overwatch Map Selection (to be submitted after the match as a matter of record.)
2.2.4. Map Pool
The following maps are permitted for play in official matches. Please note that any reskinned/seasonal versions of these maps are prohibited from play in official matches.

2.2.5. Map Ties
In the event that a game ends in a tie, the map must be replayed with the current team setup. The map tie will not count towards any score.(Subject to change)
2.3. RESTRICTIONS
Any heroes, skins, sprays, voice lines, emotes, victory poses, highlight intros, or maps that are currently disabled in the competitive game mode are prohibited from use in official matches.

2.4. STOPPAGE OF PLAY
The game may only be paused for the following reasons:
- Player drop
- Player disconnect
- Server crash
- Technical issues beyond players control (Power Outage, etc.)
Stoppage of play may be requested at any time for the above reasons. The match host (person who created the match lobby and therefore has pausing privileges) must initiate a pause when a team requests it so long as the pause is not called during combat, while the objective is contested, or during overtime. Each team will have 5 total minutes of pause time per map as a general rule. Players pause the game using the key combination Ctrl + Shift + =. Abuse of the auto-pause feature may result in disqualification for the team abusing it.
2.5. PLAYER COUNT
Both teams participating in a match must provide 6 players at the beginning of the first game, and 5 for each consecutive game. During a game, if a team should lose 2 players that have disconnected with the intention of no longer playing in the match at the same time, that team will forfeit the remainder of the game to the opposing team. If a team is not able to field the required amount of players for additional games in the series, then they will forfeit the remainder of the match.
2.5.1 Player Subs
Players may be subbed before a match begins, but not between rounds or games. JV may be subbed up to a varsity spot,not down before a match begins (Subject to Change Beta 2.0)
2.6. 2-2-2 Role Lock
Due to changes in the OWL and the Competitive Game itself, A forced composition of Two Supports, Two DPS and Two tank heroes will be enforced during League Play. Blizzard as well as other developers have noted that this should provide a more well rounded gaming experience and allow for more interesting strategies therefore. It is also becoming official OWL/Competitive Play Sept 1st
- A player who begins the round in a role (Tank, DPS, Support) may not switch to another role until that round is completed. Note multiple rounds per game. Multiple games per match.
- Any team with a player not in the same role, will forfeit the current game where the infraction occurred.
2.7. PLAYER Stats
In order to be considered for individual awards or accolades at the finish of a match players must screenshot their match medals and statistics for records keeping.Ctrl + Shift + PrintScreen to Screen Shot. This screenshot is to be placed in the provided OES Overwatch Stat Tracker Doc. Along with keeping this up to date, players or coaches will be required to submit stats in the post game sheet for the league. ( Subject to Change)
